Here's a newsletter that was sent out to our subscribers before our 1st Birthday Celebration Weekend on 5/6th October.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US ...

WE'RE ONE - COME AND PARTY!

Can you believe it?! It feels like it was just a few weeks ago that we opened our doors, but it also feels like we've been here forever, which is probably down to the absolutely gorge community of customers & friends we've accumulated and that've supported us and been visiting us ever since we opened!

So, the invitation's open to you all - next weekend: Saturday 12noon-8pm and Sunday 12noon-9pm we're throwing open the doors, ditching the bookings* and welcoming you all to our party.

We've got DJ sets all day and night from Hex Records, Pipe Dream and more; we've got goodie bags & giveaways including artwork from our local artist pals: Joel Millerchip, Benny's Yard, Catalina Carvajal and Inky & The Bears. Lots of free tasters of food & drink over the weekend - so, make it a date - we can't wait to see you and celebrate big!

*It's walk-in only over the weekend, but we will need to limit tables to an hour or two when we get busy, busy... it's only fair that you all get to join us and take part!

NEW MEMBERS' GUIDE 

In exciting news, we're launching our Good Inside Social Club and, as a subscriber to our newsletter, you're automatically a member! In fact, that's the only way that you can be a member so, feel free to spread the word.

As one of us, you're eligible to win a monthly prize.

Each month the prize will be different - we'll announce it on social media.

All of our members' names will be entered (unless you tell us otherwise) into a random selector and the lucky recipient will win a little gift from us to you. It's our way of giving something back to our loyal followers... best of luck!

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?

GETTING AUTUMNAL

KEEPING IT SMALL & SOCIAL!

As well as thinking about what we enjoy cooking, we've been asking lots of you which way you've enjoyed dining with us the most, so we've decided to stick to small plates this season. However, they'll become heartier and more autumnal, using seasonal veggies and produce - we're so lucky in Suffolk aren't we?

Each week we'll continue to create a selection of meat, fish, veggie and vegan plates for you to enjoy - we still reckon 2/3 per person is a good choice, plus you can always order more if you fancy it! Head over to enjoy some cocktails or a bottle of wine with a few pals or your partner, tuck into a selection of plates between you and enjoy a night off together.

Check out our sample menu above - we'll be updating the website over the next couple of weeks - tweaking things here and there; making your life easier (and ours!)

A GOOD CHRISTMAS

Several of you have mentioned the 'C' word so we know you're ok with it! Our news update will tell you all you need to know about Christmas... we'll usually publish an update in the first half of every month (this one's the odd one out as it was sent out at the end of September!)

Suffice to say, we'll be starting to take Christmas bookings from mid-October, but we'll let you know in plenty of time.

IROAI*

ART INSPIRED AROMAS

IROAI collaborates with Suffolk-based artists to hand-make scented candles influenced by their artistic style.

So far the brand has collabs with Lulu Horsfield (bergamot), Joel Millerchip (vanilla & tobacco) and Uwu Studio (geranium), and there are three more coming soon! We've smelt them all and they are deee-lish, plus we love to support other local indi businesses, so lucky for you we're stocking them.

IPSWICH.LOVE

CELEBRATING OUR TOWN

Ipswich.Love is an independent not-for-profit organisation and movement, run by a team of proud Ipswich folk who want to celebrate everything about our amazing town, people, diversity, culture and creativity.

It's the home of promoting events in Ipswich, engaging with communities and asking for guest writers to post their thoughts on how we can make positive changes for our town.

We're always nattering to each other as well as other people about ideas and collaborations we could try, which is very exciting and such a great way of connecting the wonderful community of Ipswich, and surrounding Suffolk.

We're currently in cahoots about a food and coffee pairing event with our lovely coffee suppliers, Christopher Montrose, and a wine & snack pairing evening with our guys at Majestic... all exciting stuff - we'll keep you posted
